As a self-confessed facial fanatic and dry skin girly, our Content Manager, Chiara relies on Ultra Treatments to keep her skin youthful and radiant. With the festive season around the corner, she booked herself in for our iconic A-Zyme® Peel - and of course, had to tell us all about it.
Formulated with Vitamin A (Retinol) and Bromelain, our A-Zyme® Peel dramatically rejuvenates, softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, evens skin tone and plumps the skin for a more youthful-looking complexion - a perfect match for Chiara’s skin.

Spoiler alert: it has become her favourite treatment. Here’s how it went.
To kick things off, Jess started the treatment with a double cleanse, beginning with the Ultra Calming Cleanser to gently remove any makeup and impurities from Chiara’s skin, followed by Ultra Balancing Gel Cleanser using our SonoBooster™ machine to allow for a deeper cleanse.
She then used our advanced VISIA camera to take a closer look at Chiara's skin. This high-tech device helps our therapists pinpoint any underlying issues and identify specific areas that need attention. As anticipated, Chiara's skin showed signs of dehydration and overall dullness.
A pre-prep peel was then applied to ensure her skin was perfectly primed, before following with the A-Zyme® Peel. This powerhouse peel is made with Bromelain, an enzyme derived from pineapple that helps brighten the skin’s surface by exfoliating the build-up of dead skin cells and Retinol, which promotes a rejuvenated complexion by improving skin brightness, clarity, and luminosity.
“Retinol happens to be one of my favourite skincare ingredients so when I found out this treatment was enriched with Retinol, I knew it was something I had to try!”. Although this treatment packs a punch with benefits, it is a non-aggressive treatment that is painless and has very minimal side effects.
The peel was left on the skin for 10 minutes, before rounding off the treatment with Ultra Hydrating Skin Mist, Ultra Moisturiser Cream, Ultra Protective Antioxidant Complex and Ultra UV Protective Daily Moisturiser SPF 50 Hydrating.
“I always love the look of my skin after this treatment, but unlike most treatments where your results typically vanish after a couple of days or (in dreaded cases) your skin gets worse”. The best part about this treatment is the long-lasting benefits, with results continuing for up to two weeks.
“My skin was hydrated, perfectly plumped and glowing - and it just got better over time”. Our recommendation is that a follow up treatment is performed 6 weeks after the first treatment to maximise results.
